Repair
1. I reinforced the torn velvet at side slits with fusible interfacing.
2.
I repaired the lettering
on tablets and velvet. The original lettering
was “embroidered” with fine wire coiled around thread; I replaced with tiny beads
strung on thread. Not perfect but
legible.
3. I also repaired the appliqué: fraying gold fabric in lions; loose sequins and gold cord reattached. A few missing sequins/beads replaced. Reinforced edges of appliqué.
